The Youth Development Centre has grown significantly over the past year. We now have over 100 children registered and weekly sessions are attracting well over 50. To facilitate numbers we have a large coaching team and we place a lot of emphasis on small sided games and on activities that are both enjoyable aswell as ensuring that all children develop the fundamental skills needed to be successful in sport.

Simon has been coaching with the academy for the past year. As well as being a PE teacher he has also a wealth of coaching experience and was a coach with the NI Under 18 team for 7 years. He currently holds the UEFA B coaching qualification.

The YDC compete in local 5 a side tournaments as well as playing small sided games against other local teams.
Wes Gregg Grassroots Development Officer will be helping out at the Youth Development Centre as part of the small side games initiative set up by the IFA. Not only will the children avail of excellent coaching but the development centre also received new footballs, goals and training equipment.
